I loved both of the films mentioned for different reasons. Of course, I also enjoy a lot of Richard Widmark and Glen Ford films and the list goes on. Thank goodness for DVD's, Encore Westerns and TCM. Fun and enjoyable post. Also Leigh Brackett left us much too soon. So talented.Renaissance Womenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09045401344374224512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1409887812566625284.post-62363400680733324332013-03-30T15:21:43.154-05:002013-03-30T15:21:43.154-05:00Thanks for the additional info, Patrick. "Eldorado" was scripted by the incomparable Leigh Brackett -- the "queen of space opera" and winner of the 1963 Spur Award for her novel "Follow the Free Wind." She also co-scripted "Rio Bravo" . . . not to mention "The Big Sleep."Patrick Dearenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05983713166654854463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1409887812566625284.post-32094629776576928302013-03-30T12:25:32.404-05:002013-03-30T12:25:32.404-05:00Jim, I love all those John Wayne movies. So much, in fact, that people I know will ask, "Was that the one with Ricky Nelson or James Caan?"LOL Anyhow, it is very hard to pick a favorite movie, but very fun to think about! Thanks for a great post.<br />CherylCheryl Piersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18116526340220274282noreply@blogger.com
