  6. Congratulations, everyone! I've only read a few of the nominees, but from what I can tell, the judges had themselves quite a chore. Like Frank and Chuck said, the future of the western looks mighty fine. :-)

  10. Congrats to all the nominees! It took a really great story to float to the top this year.

    As a judge, I was impressed by the outstanding entries and very proud of the quality of western fiction being released. There were many books that could've just as easily been nominated but weren't because of the luck of the draw, but you have to choose somehow.

    Also nice to hear that folks believe we may once again have good high class westerns of the old days. I live in the 40s to 80s LOL!
