A Visually Comedic Rendition of a Classic Country Song #westernfictioneers #classiccountry #musicparody
Here's a bit of musical levity via a blending of my favorite country music singer's—Marty
Robbins—signature song hilariously parodied in a music video by my favorite comedic actor—Steve
Martin.
It is particularly satisfyingly to me that Steve Martin is dressed similarly to Kid Shelleen from the movie Cat Ballou.
If the video doesn't show for you, this is the direct YouTube link:
You're welcome! Steve Martin riding into town on a Shetland pony makes me think of the humor columnist Lewis Grizzard's book: 'Shoot low, boys. They're riding Shetland ponies."
I had to delete my first reply to you, because I had kitty help tiptoeing over my keyboard. (Full disclosure: I didn't laugh right away.) O_o
Laughter is certainly good for what ails us. The more we laugh, the more we find things to laugh at and about, and consequently, the better we feel emotionally and mentally. I spend a lot of time laughing at myself.
Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteIt is doubly hilarious with Steve Martin and a monkey Feleena. hahaha
DeleteOH MY GOSH! I needed that! LOL Fantastic, Kaye! You always come up with something great!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Steve Martin is hilarious, and it's impossible to go wrong with Marty Robbins.
DeleteYou can't go wrong with monkeys.
ReplyDeleteEspecially with a Feleena monkey. The white veil the monkey wore cracked me up.
DeleteFor a brief while, I turned off the news and laughed as I watched this incredibly funny video. THANKS FOR THE LAUGHS
